The amount of tax refund is 7% of the total purchased items.
Note 2 of tax refund on Koh Samui:
In each refund case, the fee for each application of $100 shall be deducted.
Note 3 of tax refund on Koh Samui:
The amount of tax refund cannot exceed 30,000 baht, available for cash, bank remittance and credit card. When the total amount of tax refund exceeds 30,000 baht, you cannot receive cash refund directly and you have to remit it to your credit card instead. By this way, it’s required to pay an additional charge of 100 baht per case and related bank formalities.
Note 4 of tax refund on Koh Samui:
The VAT refund information seal should be stamped on the day of boarding and leaving the country. If the plane leave in the early morning, do not seal it one day in advance. The seal is only valid on the same day. And the sealed office is on duty 24 hours a day.
Note 5 of tax refund on Koh Samui:
Only businesses with the word VAT Refund in the mall counter can enjoy the tax refund (Lee, Levi’s, Topshop tax refund directly at the counter), while the counter writing not VAT Refund cannot get the refund (neither NaRaYa, Bata can refund the tax refund).
Note 6 of tax refund on Koh Samui:
Service fee should be charged, according to passport collection. If more people go together, it is suggested that all applications should be refunded with the same passport, which can save the handling fee.
